Judge Meade F. Griffin

Meade Griffin was born at Cottonwood in 1894, son of Fred and Lodie Griffin.  He became a successful lawyer and served on the Supreme Court of Texas.

He wrote the Constitution and By-laws for the Cottonwood Historical Association which were adopted by the membership on May 3, 1971.

Judge Griffin died in 1974 and is buried in the State Cemetery at Austin.
