Wilda Florene Moore, 74, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hodges Baptist Church with the
Revs. Rufus Wilson and Bertis Williams officiating. Burial will be in
Midway Cemetery in Hodges, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home,
1443 N. 2nd.
Mrs. Moore was born in Cottonwood in Callahan County and graduated
from Anson High School in 1940. She attended Draughon's Business College
and was a retired bookkeeper of Dr Pepper Bottling Co. She was an
organizer and past secretary of the Midway Cemetery Association and played
the piano at Hodges Baptist Church for more than 40 years.
Survivors include two sons, Gary V. Moore of Winters and Larry A.
Moore of Hodges; one daughter, Diedra E. Morris of Dublin, Ireland; one
stepdaughter, Barbara Cook of Hodges; one brother, Troyce Bagley of Tye;
nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
