| M.P. Wilcoxen Jr.
CROSS PLAINS - M.P. Wilcoxen Jr., 81, died Sunday at a Brownwood
hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Higginbotham Funeral Home
Chapel with Donald Dukes officiating. Burial will be in Sabanno Cemetery.
Mr. Wilcoxen was born in Cottonwood and was a farmer and dairyman.
He was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church and an Army veteran. He was the
widower of Zelda Clara Harris. He married Inola Groceson in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Inola Wilcoxen of Cross Plains; one son,
Jay Wilcoxen of Brownwood; two sisters, Ella Simpson of Cottonwood and
Alpha Wilson of Abilene; stepchildren Pat Boiles and Bill McQueen, both of
Sweetwater, Larry McQueen and Melvin McQueen; one grandson, one
great-granddaughter and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
