ANSON -- M.J. Simpson, 73, shoe shine and concession stand operator
for many years, died Wednesday in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Mount Hope Cemetery
with P.B. Middlebrook officiating, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral
Home.
Mr. Simpson was born in Cottonwood and moved to Anson at an early
age. He was a member of International Order of the Oddfellows Lodge in
Abilene and the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Ila Ann Hogue of Livingston, Tenn;
four brothers, Turner Simpson of Cottonwood, Berley Simpson of Las Vegas,
Nev., Melvin Simpson of Fort Worth and Glen D. Simpson of Houston; three
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
