Minnie Cunningham, 85, of Cross Plains, passed away Saturday, July
26, 2003, at her home.
Services were held at 2:00p.m. Monday, July 28, 2003, at the
Higginbotham Funeral Chapel with Ronnie White officiating. Burial
was in the Cross Plains Cemetery directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home of
Cross Plains.
Minnie was born September 10, 1917 in Cottonwood, Texas to Lewis
Coppinger and Maud Shufford Coppinger. She married Mike Cunningham
in Jal, New Mexico on August 15, 1940. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Cross Plains.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins, including
Charlou Cowan and Lurene McNutt, both of Cross Plains, Sharene Deskmukh of
Stephenville and Byrene Ferguson of Odessa; as well as Kerry Coppinger,
Becky Shugart and Susan Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike
Cunningham; twin sister Winnie Lane, and sister, Louise Richardson; three
brothers, Charles Coppinger, John Coppinger and Tommy James Coppinger.
Pallbearers were Alvin Hutchings, Dick Grider, Charlie Grider, Scott
Childress, Thomas Buckner and Rex Beggs.
