CROSS PLAINS - Cora Howland, 106, died Wednesday in Paris, Texas.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Higginbotham Funeral Home
Chapel with Knox Waggoner and Dr. Jim O'Dell officiating. Burial will be
in Cottonwood Cemetery.
Ms. Howland was born in Cottonwood and graduated from Simmons
College, now Hardin-Simmons University, in 1918. She was a homemaker and
moved to Cross Plains from Paris, Texas. She was a member of Cross Plains
Senior Citizens Center and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Martin; one granddaughter,
Becky Reaves; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
