Plaque on the Chair

This Rocking Chair was donated by Dorothy Champion Mosley, Cross Plains, Texas

Dorothy's mother, Dora Meador Champion received this chair as a gift from her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Meador in 1933 to tend her children.  The chair was at least 20 years old then.

The chair is at least 76 years old now.

The Meador and Champion families were residents of Callahan County most of their lives.
